This is the second time that I have brought my car to The Stable to prepare for a California Central Coast Region Porsche Club Laguna Seca track day, and I had another great experience. I believe that The Stable is the best auto shop with the finest staff with the highest level of Porsche knowledge and experience on the Central Coast, and probably in the entire State of California. Brittain patiently explained all of my alignment set up options, and helped me select one that transformed my understeering car into a beautifully neutral-handling machine that felt like a part of me and went wherever it was pointed. This gave me the confidence to explore my limits and fully enjoy my time on track. He finished the work on time and on budget, and I couldn't be happier. Nathan scheduled my service on the same afternoon as the mandatory Porsche Club technical inspection, which Guy and The Stable provide free of charge, complete with pizza and drinks, which saved me an extra trip. The Stable also graciously sponsors CCCR events, making them more affordable for everyone. I always feel confident and comfortable when I bring my car here, and I think you will, too, and I do not hesitate to give the Stable my highest recommendation. If I could give 6 stars, I would! After 55 years of ownership I am selling my 1970 911E Targa. It has been maintained the last several years by Guy. After countless repair shops in California some with high end reputations (and prices) my move from Newport Beach to Cayucos had a blessing. No one, except Guy, got the mechanical fuel injection running correctly. I am selling it a lower price to a SLO resident because he will use The Stable for future Mx. 10 Stars

Im the kind of driver that notices any unusual behavior from my GT3. My local Bay Area Porsche service folks just shrugged their shoulders and said they didnt detect any issues; thats why my next service was done a The Stable where Guy (and the other techs) agreed that there was indeed an issue. They corrected the problem and now my GT3 runs better than ever!

I had a small leak on my 356 valve covers after a valve adjustment. I was leaving the next day to a 356 gathering. Guy and Charlie jumped on it and me back on the road. Great people and great service.

Always Professional and Friendly. I have my Porsches on regular 6 month rotation plus whenever a need arise Nathan gets me right in. It’s great to just drop my cars off and trust they will be looked after like they are their own. Thanks for all the looking after.

As with all previous services on my 1970 911E Targa, the last two deserve 6 stars! I took the car in for a very slushy gearbox. Hard to find secon, reverse, etc. As I drove the car home, I felt like I was in a different car. Shifts were precise, shorter, easy to find, just a joy to drive!! Wonderful work...then the last job was a complete suspension repair and replacement. Driving home the car tracked like it was on a rail..but the best part was driving Old Creek Road! Talk about a car on rails...wonderful. Again the work done was top notch, delivered on time and no complaints logged. This is truly a great shop in SLO!!! Keep up the great work, service, and friendliness. Thank you all!

Been going to these guys for the past 7 years. I have 2005 Porsche 911 Carrera. Went their recently for ticking noise. dealer wanted to charge me thousands and decided to drive 300 miles to go these great guys and it paid off. They fixed the ticking noise and replaced my shocks. They saved me thousands and THAT, is how you do it. I will go to these guys every time. They are honest with high degree of integrity and their technical team is outstanding. Of course, I can't say enough good things about my "mate" Nathan. He's one of the reasons I go to them to get my car worked on. Anyone who doesn't give 5 star rating is an idiot . . . .

Guy Ober rebuilt.my 912 Porsche 5-speed back in 2005 when I was restoring. 1969 Porsche 912 . Did a great job and still running great. My engine is not doing very well and hoping to get them rebuild it.

Fixed my car that day! Went in early and had it out in time for the beach. Nice clean and friendly staff who know about their cars😎

Nathan always gets me in, and as an English chap, understands when I tell him something’s wonky. Charley did my service today AND figured out my lighter fuse was out (which was why my charger wasn’t working) Brighten can work his magic on a porsche engine blindfolded, but I’m relieved Guy doesn’t allow it. Speaking of Guy, always makes time to chat me up while I’m there and let me know I’m appreciated. Car repairs are stressful, but having a shop that you trust, is fair value, and treats you kindly, makes it a rewarding experience. Because every time I leave their shop and drive off, there’s just no other feeling better than shifting into 3rd on Broad St. and feeling that engine want to take flight. The gents at SGS are pros!
